Membership PDF Print E-mail

We are changing how we handle our membership somewhat. If you have been a member of DAWG in the past, you will have been given instructions in the e-mail we sent regarding the information we need to add you to our membership list. We are adding all of you to the site user table by hand, rather than have you self-register. I had an experience on a site I set up for another geek group I belong to where the first person to sign up was someone named "Bambi." Rather than have to deal with that nonsense, we will just add members ourselves.

Once you have been notified that you are a member, please log in and fill out the form you will find from the "Update Your DAWG Profile" link in the Member Menu. Mostly, we want to be able to get in touch with you, if need be, to find out what ideas you have for the site, and any other feedback. We thought is was a good idea to have our membership information in one place rather than with multiple people.

So, what value-added information do you get for becoming a DAWG member you may ask? How about:

  • Participation in our Moodle-based on-line training
  • Commenting on articles and information you find here
  • Downloading documents, information, and coding examples
  • Participation in our highly statistically-significant polls
  • Anything else we can think of down the road

But wait! There's more...

You can even submit your own articles or how-to's on relevent topics.

All this for just $19.99! Oh, that's right... it's free.

Seriously, though, knowing how busy we all are, we think makes sense to have this kind of web site for our group. None of us have the time to spend preparing for and going to meetings but we still have the need for communication, collaboration, and training. Our hope is that we can all work together toward that common goal.
